An externship is a unique opportunity that allows Gettysburg students to gain an insider's view into a career field, observe on-the-job activities and participate in hands-on learning experiences in the workplace. Shorter than an internship, an externship is an intensive job shadowing experience typically lasting one week. Find out more

A tradition designed to welcome first-year student into alumni status upon completion of their first semester. The highlight of the evening includes an illuminated walk by first-year students to the steps of Pennsylvania Hall, where they present an artistically crafted Class Book to the president and serenade her with the Alma Mater.
