You have guaranteed access to a powerful network of alumni, parents, and other professionals.  Making Your Future Work  gives every student the opportunity to experience:

  • Individual mentoring by successful alumni and parents
  • Individual advising by career coaches and select faculty
  • Job shadowing, internships and externships (including homestays with alumni).

Making Your Future Work extends across all four years of your Gettysburg experience.  Working with  your individual coach from the Center for Career Development, you can choose form a huge number of personalized career-focused experiences that will help you get the most out of your liberal arts education.

Your opportunities are almost endless.  A few of the experiences available include: practice interviews with alumni, parents, and employers; insiders' advice about graduate school; need-based help with internship expenses; and externships; online and on-campus interviews; job fairs and much more.

You can join like-minded students in an on-campus network that targets your particular area of interest.  Together, you can host a networking dinner with alumni and parents, bring a leader in your field to speak on campus, or take a trip to the kind of workplace you dream of.
