Faculty Resources

Faculty Partners and CPS:

Faculty interested in engaging their students with the work of community can do so in a variety of ways, including facilitating a service-learning course, participating in community-based research, leading an Immersion Project, or working directly with community agencies and networks in a variety of roles.

For more information and to explore possible ideas, contact Gretchen Natter at the Center for Public Service.

Community partnerships are at the core of CPS programs. We believe that partnerships should be mutually beneficial. Community partners play a significant role in the education of our students by providing opportunities to learn and guiding students through the exploration of social justice, course concepts, and personal and professional development.

CPS works with over 30 agencies and organizations to meet community needs. Our partners include agencies and organizations working with youth, homelessness, hunger, poverty, Latino migrant farmworkers, technology, literacy, elderly, environmental justice, food security, community development, etc. It is possible to explore additional options to the possibilities linked above.
