Highlights 2007-2008: A Year in Review

Read the 2006-2007 Highlights: Learning Through Partnership

Dear Friends,

This report is a celebration of partnership & shared learning – of so many committed individuals working together to create a new vision and practice of community.

This year has been one of growth for our many shared partnerships. Student learning has continued to intensify as they ask deeper and deeper questions about their experiences of community with the facilitation of community agencies, faculty and peers. Together, we strive to challenge them to not only understand what is going on, but to explore avenues to create change and to inspire and engaged others to do so.

Four elements define the work of the Center for Public Service: partnership, education, informed action and critical thinking. In this brochure, you will find our mission statement, which focuses on the quality of our shared work, challenging us to keep partnership central as we engage in the work of community intellectually, actively and reflectively.
