ASCENT PRE-ORIENTATION EXPERIENCE: CPS partners with the Office of Experiential Education for pre-orientation trips for first-year students. GRAB Leaders and CPS Program Coordinators partner to facilitate the trips August 22-26.

GIV DAY 2014: First-year students participate in a Poverty Simulation and spend time serving a community organization to learn about the Gettysburg community and the work of CPS.

FIESTA 2014: Farmworkers celebrate the end of the harvest season! Sunday, Sept. 21, 1:00-5:30pm in the tent on Memorial Field

 

OCTOBER

 3 SALSA ON THE SQUARE: PGL celebrate Hispanic heritage with live music, food & activities! Friday, October 3 on The Square in Gettysburg at 7pm.

ZOMBIE RUN: Join CPS for a 5K at Gettysburg College. Conquer obstacles and dodge zombies that want to eat your brain. $15 to register and all proceeds support the 2014 Thanksgiving Basket Drive.

 13 FALL CONVOCATION:  Julian Bond, Civil Rights leader will addresses the college 

from 11:30-1:00 in the CUB Ballroom.

SOCIAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE: An intensive, two day learning experience for Gettysburg students to explore personal and group identity, examine today’s societal injustices, and promote social action through civic engagement.
