ASCENT PRE-ORIENTATION EXPERIENCE: CPS partners with the Office of Experiential Education for pre-orientation trips for first-year students. GRAB Leaders and CPS Program Coordinators partner to facilitate the trips August 12-21.

GIV DAY 2013: First-year students participate in a Poverty Simulation and spend time serving a community organization to learn about the Gettysburg community and the work of CPS.

FIESTA 2013: Farmworkers celebrate the end of the harvest season! Sunday, Sept. 29, 1:00-5:30pm in the tent by The Jaeger Center.

 

OCTOBER

 4 SALSA ON THE SQUARE: PGL celebrate Hispanic heritage with live music, food & activities! Friday, October 4 on The Square in Gettysburg at 7pm.

ZOMBIE RUN: Join CPS and GRAB for a 5K at Gettysburg College. Conquer obstacles and dodge zombies that want to eat your brain. $10 to register and all proceeds support the 2013 Thanksgiving Basket Drive.

 



NOVEMBER

 14 FALL CONVOCATION:  Freeman Habrowski, president of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, addresses the college 

from 11:30-1:00 in the CUB Ballroom.

THANKSGIVING BASKET DRIVE: Baskets are due to CPS by 4pm.

 


JANUARY

 7 IMMERSION PROJECTS depart for Alabama, Nicaragua and Arizona for ten days.

20 MLK CELEBRATION: Annual MLK Jr.'s birthday celebration at 7pm in Christ Chapel.

FEBRUARY

7 SOCIAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE: An intensive, two day learning experience for Gettysburg students to explore personal and group identity, examine today’s societal injustices, and promote social action through civic engagement.

 

 

MARCH

8 IMMERSION PROJECTS depart for the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, New York and New Orleans.
