We aim to create lasting relationships within the community that can help redirect resoucres."
"This effort is important because no one deserves to go hungry. Also, on a deeper level I want to be able to provide the members of my community with food that is healthy and nutrious. Being sustainable means a community that is healthy and united."
Kathryn is dedicated to the work of sustainability because a "redirection of a few precious resources and time can have a huge lasting impact on people's lives."
She notes, "sustainability is a word that people can become overwhelmed by but if you take the time to focus on a few issues that really inspire you, the work can be very rewarding for everyone involved. To me sustainability is connecting existing resources in a more efficent way so that everyone can benefit from the local community."
