DINING SERVICES
AND THE
CAMPUS KITCHEN
TEAM UP FOR FOOD, FUN & LEARNING!
THE THEME:
Ever wonder where your food comes from? How it gets to you? Who's affected? We invite you to learn more about how food plays a role in our economy, our society, and our environment, and why it matters.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
You'll learn about the distance your food travels to reach you each night and what happens along the way. You'll also learn about how you as an 'eater' can support a more just and sustainable world. There will be information and displays from the Campus Kitchen, the local Food Pantry, farmers' market, Painted Turtle Farm, and more!
WHAT WILL I HAVE TO DO?
In the spirit of sustainability, Monday will be a trayless night in Servo. Why go trayless? Simply eliminating the trays will save about 200 pounds of food waste per day! That's the same as 4,680 chicken nuggets or 914 grilled cheese sandwiches!
DOES IT COST MONEY?
Admission is just your regular meal swipe. If you don't have a meal card, the all-you-can-eat dinner is $9.50.
