What: Altitude is a student-run leadership conference that seeks to engage student leaders from Eastern Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.

Robert D. Lynch Student Development Leadership Institute (SDLI)
What: The conference is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Black Conference on Higher Education, Inc. designed to address topics essential to developing leadership skills for African-American, Latino-American, and other Black college students.

NEW Leadership Pennsylvania Summer Institute
What: NEW Leadership brings together a diverse group of women student leaders from two and four year institutions across Pennsylvania.
Where: Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Cost: No direct cost to student, if selected. Participating school must provide $300 towards fees.
What: Equiss is a 3-day social justice retreat from May 22-24, 2012 for 50 undergraduate students from across the nation who want to understand systems of oppression, privilege, identity development, and take action to create a more fair and just world. Participants will have the opportunity to learn, explore, and reflect on issues of social justice through individual reflection, group discussion, and interactive activities. Participants will be challenged to positively and effectively address issues of injustice, inequity, and inequality on campus and in the broader context of American society.

National Leadership Conference on Student Government
What: This is the nation's longest-running conference designed specifically for student government leaders and advisors.

National Conference for College Women Student Leaders: Leadership for Today and Tomorrow
What: This conference, designed specifically for women student leaders, provides opportunities to listen to keynote speakers, attend workshops, and network with other leaders from around the country.

Social Justice Training Institute
What: This institute is open to 50 undergraduate students who have already done a significant amount of work on social justice issues.

What: The HLW is a three-day educational and recreational retreat for student leaders and higher education professionals.

JACL Collegiate DC Leadership Conference
What: This intensive three-day leadership program is for Asian Pacific American student leaders interested in the national policy-making arena.

Cost: Only 12 applicants are selected; however, a scholarship covers conference, housing, and travel costs.

While the GLC cannot provide you with full funding to attend a conference, there may be on campus resources and opportunities available to help you off set the costs.
