The Den

Climbing towerThe Den at Gettysburg College, was designed with uniqueness of Gettysburg of mind. The lines, the color, the routes, and even the lichen can be found both on our two climbing walls as well as at Devils Den; a location that is rooted in historical significance.

The Climbing Tower is 35 feet tall, has seven routes--all bolted for lead routes--and the top is accessible for rappel and ascending work. With crack climbs, aretes, and some inverted features, the Tower is great place to learn and train your climbing technique. The climbing tower is housed in a remarkable glass structure.

The Bouldering Wall is 13 feet tall and 30 feet wide and can easily accommodate 20-30 routes ranging the spectrum of difficulty. Between both locations, we are able to provide an wide range of programs.
