Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve - South Central PA, $325
A Brief Overview...
Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve is a private nonprofit education and conservation institution located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Pennsylvania. Strawberry Hill's mission is to connect our community with the natural world by teaching, inspiring, and promoting environmental stewardship. The 609-acre preserve features a variety of habitats to explore, including wet and dry woodlands, three ponds, two pristine mountain streams, and much more.
General Information
This trip will be focused on helping Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve in the pursuit of its mission by rehabilitation of local trails that might potentially connect to the Appalachian Trail. During this trip, the group will be self contained, meaning they will camp in tents and will cook their own food on stoves. They will not have access to facilities or vehicles for four days.

Sam Torok Sophomore Wilderness First Responder A real go getter, Sam enjoys challenging herself and is always seeking ways to do this. Whether it is track, soccer, or a rock wall, Sam is not afraid to give it her all and encourage others to do the same.

Melissa Arsenie Melissa will be Program Coordinator at the Center for Public Service for her third year. She has coordinated volunteers and life skills classes for clients at the Adams County Shelter as well as organized and prepared many meals for the Campus Kitchens program. Melissa has spent two summers interning with CPS as a Heston Intern and GIV Day coordinator. Melissa has spent a lot of time working with both Gettysburg College students and with poverty related issues in Adams County. Her experience, dedication and sense of humor will help create an amazing and fun experience |
