Wilderness Institute 2009 Cochise Stronghold
This will be our 14th annual Wilderness Institute experience, and the our third trip back to Cochise Stronghold. We visited Cochise for the first time in 2002 and then again in 2006. We would like to thank Duane Bennett with the Coronado National Forest for working with our group to use this spectacular backcountry climbing location. Cochise Stronghold is located within the Douglas Ranger District and has a long history with the Apache Native Americans. The group will be based within the Dragoon Mountains.
