Alumni Facilitators

There are 63 GRAB alumni and the vast majority of the alumni base stay in touch with the office on a regular basis. Most of the alumni do not  pursue a professional role in the industry of Experiential Education, however all of them speak about how the skills they obtained from their role as a GRAB staff member have prepared them for their current professional roles. The speak most highly of the lessons learned around professionalism, communication, ethical decisions, and leadership-especially group management. Listed below are professions that our alumni are currently perusing:

Our alumni work in and for incredible companies, law firms, and educational institutions. Some of them have received notable recognition for their work, but more importantly to Gettysburg College, they still give their time. Over the last five years, on average, 10 alumni have returned to assist our office with trips and trainings. Some alumni have offered a day of service whereas others are giving 2 weeks of their time and vacation from work, to help guide our expeditions. These alumni are dedicated to giving back to the program, but more importantly to see the undergraduate students prosper and continue a tradition that they help create and maintain.
