The Twisted Turkey Trail Tussle 10k/10mi Race and 1 mile Tot Trot on November 14, 2009 is the perfect way to enjoy the colorful autumn foliage and burn some extra calories before Thanksgiving.

The Tot Trot Course will be reviewed with parents at Registration.

Online Registration will close at Noon on Friday, November 13.  Walk-ins are welcome to register at the site at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

What is the Twisted Turkey Trail Tussle?
The Twisted Turkey Trail Tussle is a 10k/10mi race through the winding trails within the Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve. Interested individuals have the option to register for either the 10k or 10mi distance and jog, walk or run. There will also be a Tot Trot for those individuals from 2-10 years old.

When is the Twisted Turkey Trail Tussle?
On Saturday, November 14, 2009, the 10k/10mi races as well as the Tot Trot will begin at 10:00AM.

How does one register for the race?
Registration for the event will be online. Registration for the 10k and 10mi races cost $30 per participant. There will be a flat registration fee of $5.00 for the Tot Trot. Please click this link and use a credit card or e-check to complete the payment form.

Divisions
There will be several divisions in the Twisted Turkey Trail Tussle Race.  Please be sure to specify your division when you check-in on Saturday.

Open Male- Individual Men's Division: all ages
Men Pushing the Hill: 35 and over
Men in Youthful Bliss: 34 and under
Open Female - Individual Women's Division: all ages
Women Pushing the Hill: 35 and over
Women in Youthful Bliss: 34 and under

Saturday Festivities
On that Saturday, there will be food vendors, informational stands and other sponsors joining in on the festivities. There will also be bands and other entertainment post race. The Big Scare, a group of improvisational funky soulgrass musicians will be performing after the 1 mile Tot Trot until the awards ceremony at 1:00 p.m. After the trail race awards, Gettysburg Pirate Orchestra will take the stage filling the air with some foot tapping mountain music. Stick around to fill your bellies and meet new friends as Sickobilly, will rock out in nature with some alternative rock and roll.
