Race Logistics

Greetings Twisted Turkeys!

We want to thank each of you for registering for the Twisted Turkey Trail Tussle. As of now, we are currently still registering folks for the race!  We will update this site as the race approaches, but in the meantime, here are the basics:

Weather:

Your guess is as good as ours...stay tuned.

Timeline:

8:00 AM--Runner Check-In

                Pick-up a runners packet with some swag

                Course Map

                Walk the course, stretch, size up the competition

10:00 AM --10K/10Mile/1 mile Tot Trot Race begins-with a local band playing throughout the race.

12:30 PM - Awards ceremony and a little BBQ for all.

Directions:

If you have never been to Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve, you are in for treat. The Preserve is located on Mt. Hope Road just a few miles from Fairfield, PA. Use the address in your map quest link to find the necessary directions. If you have questions or become lost, you call 717-642-5840.

Note that most cell phones do not get reception once you get on Mt. Hope road. Please click on the driving directions link on the Twisted Turkey homepage.

If you are a student of Gettysburg College and need a ride to Strawberry Hill, please contact us at the GRAB office grab@gettysburg.edu . The van will depart Gettysburg at 8:00am and will return to campus around 2:00pm.

Parking:

Parking will be located in a lot on Starr Lane. Starr Lane can be accessed by passing Strawberry Hill's Main Campus and continuing up Mt Hope Rd another .25 miles, then turning right onto Starr Lane. Drive .5 miles up Starr Lane to parking lot on the left. Please note, when leaving the lot "Downhill traffic yields right to uphill traffic. You can walk back down to the main campus by walking down the blue flagged trail and then turning right on the white trail. This walk to the main campus should take about 5-10 minutes.
