Wilderness First Responder

What: 

Wilderness Medical Associates 72-hour course, hosted by the Gettysburg College Office of Experiential Education.  This course will fill on a first-come, first-served basis.  Enroll early! 

When: 

Tuesday, May 13th - Wednesday, May 21st, 2008 

Where: 

Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, PA.  Driving distances from nearby urban centers (approximate):  40 minutes from Harrisburg, PA; 75 minutes from Baltimore, MD; 85 minutes from Washington, DC.

Registration: 

Registration begins January 15, 2008, and ends when the course is full.  This course is limited to 25 students.  A $150 deposit is required to secure your place in the course (see below).

Course fee & Housing Options 

$655 (includes housing). The College is able to provide housing for this course in our residence halls which are equipped with kitchens. Grocery stores and the downtown are all within walking distances.

Deposit: 

A $150 deposit is required to secure your place in the course.  The deposit is fully refundable if you drop out of the course on or before March 30th.  If you drop out of the course between March 31st and April 15th, you may receive a 50% refund ($75) on the deposit.  If you drop out of the course between April 16th and April 30th, the deposit is non-refundable.  If you drop out of the course after April 30th, there will be NO REFUND on either the deposit or the full balance amount.
