Fraternity Recruitment
- The Greek community at Gettysburg College has been in existence since 1855, and has maintained a strong commitment to excellence. Gettysburg students become eligible for membership into Greek Organizations at the beginning of their sophomore year.
- While each organization maintains its own activities, traditions, and national affiliations, all share a similar set of core values. Our Greek community is built upon the following ideals: scholarship, leadership, friendship and service. As you begin to make your decision about joining a greek organization on campus, understand that your membership reflects a commitment to these ideals.
- Our Greek Organizations on campus, in tandem with the office of Greek Organizations, have worked hard to build a community that fosters academic excellence, leadership ability, philanthropic services, and active contributions to both the campus and the local Gettysburg community.
- Our Greek community consists of 11 fraternities, five NPC sororities, one NPHC sorority and one NPHC fraternity, with a total membership of over 800 students.
