On October 29 and 30, 2012 Hurricane Sandy ravaged the East Coast. Communities up and down the coast felt the devastating impacts of the storm. Gettysburg College and the borough were spared the worst of the storm's effects, but many of our alumni, family and friends were not. In an effort to help them and so many others, the Gettysburg Greek community is coordinating a campus-wide effort to raise funds, donate supplies and offer support to affected communities in New York and New Jersey. We hope you will join us in these efforts!
From November 12th through December 14th, there will be a fundraising competition to raise the most money to support the American Red Cross, the New Jersey Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which benefits residents of Staten Island. Donations will be collected at CUB Tables from 11am - 1pm Monday through Friday. Donations will also be accepted in the Office of Greek Organizations (CUB 220) during business hours. For continuous updates, be sure to like our page on Facebook.
Members of each Greek organization will be competing to see which chapter can raise the most money per member.
In an effort to get everyone involved, we will keep a running total of which campus constituency can raise the most money.
