Principles: friendship, character, conduct

The Delta Omicron Chapter of Tri Sigma was refounded on September 17, 2003 with the principles of friendship, strong womanly character and high standards of conduct. The motto for Tri Sigma's philanthropy is "Sigma Serves Children". This continued service to children has focused on providing play therapy for hospitalized children by raising funds for playrooms, libraries and programs for such children. Each sister is also highly involved in the campus community by belonging to at least one other extracurricular activity. Famous alumnae include Carrie Underwood, the winner of the fourth season of American Idol; Linda Denham, creator of the Care Bears and Billie Letts, author of Where the Heart Is. Some fun facts are that Tri Sigma is the only sorority with two chapters in Alaska and was the first to establish an international chapter.
