FLU SHOT UPDATE - November 18th
Seasonal Vaccine: We have exhausted our first shipment of flu vaccine. We have not received notice as to when the balance of our vaccine will be shipped. We will let the campus community know through the digests as soon as it becomes available. If you are able to get your vaccine on your visits home, we strongly encourage you to do so.
H1N1 Vaccine: We are participating with a county-wide program who will notify us when and how the national distribution of H1N1 vaccine will take place. We will notify the campus community when we become aware of that plan. We are strongly encouraging students to receive the H1N1 vaccine at home over Thanksgiving Break if it becomes available in your community. Please visit "current health issues" on our website menu for further information.
HEALTH SERVICES
Gettysburg College Health Services offer a wide range of primary care treatment services and referrals to help students maintain good physical and emotional health.
Staffed by family practice physicians, nurse practitioners, and other skilled health professionals, the office offers diagnosis and treatment of acute conditions, management of chronic disorders, stress management, contraceptive services, diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, immunizations, and many other services.
The Health Service promotes healthy lifestyles and decision-making, and encourages all students to play the central role in their own health-which can involve everything from taking part in Center-sponsored health education programs to simply seeking treatment at the onset of illness or injury.
