This was a hot day of hiking in Arches National Park, but seeing Delicate Arch made the sweating and panting worth it. Our lunch in the trailhead parking lot was brief in order to avoid standing on the hot asphalt under the cloudless desert sky. Brevity was not a factor since the students did not care for Beef Jerky Delight, a favorite in last year's road trip. The students are in high spirits and looking forward to reaching Goblin Valley State Park tonight where we will make s'mores for dessert.
Lashanda's wow factor upon seeing Delicate Arch at the trail's end.
Deja vu under Delicate Arch on the trip's second run.
