Road Trip May 27
May 27 - The Virgin River and The Red Iguana
We were exhausted from yesterday's hike and opted for a stroll along the Virgin River on the paved path known as the river walk. It dead ends at the Narrows where hikers walk upstream in the cold river to backcountry areas. The canyon walls were draped in hanging gardens of wild columbines and other desert flowers. We enjoyed the slow pace along the path listening to the river and the natural springs draining through the rockface. We said good-bye to Zion and drove to Salt Lake City for a celebratory dinner at the Red Iguana specializing in Imperial Aztec Cuisine.
