PALS

Upperclass students pair up with first-year students to help them through the critical first months of college life. Student pairs decide on activities they will do together: from dinner out, to an afternoon at the movies, advice on classes to breakfast in bed.

Students find mentors and friends through this one-on-one program.

Book Club

Remember when reading was fun? Bring your lunch and join us in the IRC for an exciting hour exploring the world of a favorite author. The group decides what to read: contemporary, non-fiction, fiction, controversial or classic.

Meets second Wednesday at noon in the IRC.

Head-to-Head

Leisure time for the IRC men through discussions, community involvement, movies, sports, mentoring, workshops, personal development, avocation exploration, sharing ideas, and sharpening skills.

IRC men gather on Sunday afternoons to engage in extra-curricular activities, watch football and plan outings.

Chill Out

Chill-Out! at the IRC provides various social programming to our students. The IRC supplies the atmosphere, snacks, games and movies for the students to enjoy and meet each other. Chill Out! also offers occasional off-campus excursions to cities such as Washington DC, Harrisburg, or Philadelphia. Students can relax in the parks, visit the museums, go ice skating or bowling, or get some shopping done.

Money Management

College is the best place to develop a healthy financial life-style, a future which is debt free.

For everything from getting out of debt to managing your money wisely to saving for your future....we will focus on the following areas:

  • Credit cards
  • Taxes
  • Investing
  • Banking
  • Financial planning

Meets third Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in the IRC

Sister to Sister

Women participating in this program are empowered in a variety of ways.  Participants share experiences, listen and learn from each other and find ways to support each others' goals and dreams.

Events include discussions about study abroad, career planning and advice, self esteem, and a visit by a cosmetologist to show the women how to transition from the college to the corporate look.
