Program Assistant Positions
The Office of Student Activities and First Year Programs will select two mature and dedicated student leaders to assist with implementing orientation programs this fall. In an effort to provide a more streamlined approach to the overall first year program and to provide an opportunity for three students to learn the operational side of planning and execution of an institutional wide program, this position was created. One Program Assistants will work closely (planning and implanting Orientation) with the Student Orientation Coordinator over the summer and during Orientation and the other will work closely (planning and implementing FYE) with the FYE Student Coordinator over Orientation and the fall semester, as well as with the Assistant Director of Student Activities & First Year Programs and the Associate Director of Residence Life. Program Assistants serve as resources and a support structure for the Coordinators, the FY Staff and College Life administrators. Selection to the Orientation Planning Team is a unique honor and a rewarding opportunity for personal and professional growth.
