Class of 2013 Commencement
Student Speaker Selection Process
Criteria to be considered:
- Strong academic record - 3.0 GPA or higher
- Must be in good character and standing with the college (judicial, honor code, academic, and integrity)
- Involvement in campus leadership activities that have significantly impacted the College community
- Commitment to serving others in both the campus and the local community
- Must be nominated by peers or member of Gettysburg College Community
Process for selection:
- Nomination by member of Class of 2013 or a member of the Gettysburg College community - click here for nomination form
- Nominations are due Friday, February 15th by 4pm
- All students will be informed of their nomination by Monday, February 18th and be asked to accept or decline the nomination at that time
- If they accept they will then schedule a time to deliver their proposed speech to the review committee during the week of February 25th
- The successful individual will work with the Senior Class Advisor and Commencement Coordinator on their final remarks and preparation for Commencement.
