Elections

Elections for the 2012-2013 academic year will be in September. Persons interested in becoming involved in senate should contact an executive board member and attend senate meetings which are held every Monday at 7:00PM. 

Senator

Elections for Senators for the Class of 2013 and Class of 2016 will be held in September. Please stay tuned for information about when petitions are due.

Class Officers

Elections for Class Officers for the Class of 2016 will be held in September.

Eligibility

The eligibility requirements to run for an elected office are strictly enforced. All candidates must be recognized as full-time matriculating Gettysburg College Students. Candidates must have a minimum scholastic standing of a 2.0 GPA. Persons are not eligible for candidacy if they:

• Are on academic probation
• Are on conduct probation
• Possess 6 or more points under the College Points System
• Are studying off campus during the desired term
• Are not in good standing with the College and the Student Senate

Additionally, all candidates are required to complete a candidacy petition and submit a cover letter and resume by the designated date for each respective office.
