Kyle Bruntz, Class of 2009 
Student Orientation Coordinator

Kyle is a senior majoring in Management. As the Orientation Coordinator, Kyle plans, organizes, and helps facilitate the First-Year Orientation program at Gettysburg College. In addition, Kyle is the co-concert chair for the Campus Activities Board, is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, the assistant director of St. Jude Up 'til Dawn, and is a class representative on Student Senate.

Norrell Griffiths Class of 2009

First Year Experience Student Coordinator

Norrell is a senior majoring in Political Science with a minor in Anthropology from Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.  In addition to coordinating the FYE program, she also works in the College Life office and as a Phonathon caller. This year Norrell is also serving as Traditions co Chair for the Campus Activities Board planning Crabfest, Snowball, and Springfest. Besides CAB, Norrell participates in Dance Ensemble, Women's Rugby and is a brother in the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity. During the spring 2008 semester Norrell studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. After graduation she hopes to work in event planning.

Lauren Meehan, Class of 2009

Special Projects Coordinator

Lauren is a senior with a dual major in Political Science and Management and a minor in Spanish. As Special Assistant to the Office of Student Activities and First Year Programs, one of Lauren's projects is coordinating Experience Gettysburg as part of Orientation. Returning from her semester abroad in Seville, Spain, she is excited to continue her involvement in extracurricular activities which include Co-Chair of the Senior Class Gift Committee, Student Senate, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, 2009 Class Council, independent research for a professor, Student Senate committees and El Centro. Having an avid interest in law and politics, she plans to attend law school after graduation in 2009.

Editor-in-Chief, Spectrum Yearbook

Jennie is a junior, Biology major with an Education minor from Huntington, New York. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Spectrum Yearbook, working with the staff to make a great book. Her job includes editing pages, helping others with their pages, communicating with Taylor Publishing and Davor Photos, and making sure the whole process runs smoothly. Aside from yearbook, she is the historian of Alpha Phi Omega, a member of the Campus Activities Board, and is involved with other community service organizations on campus.

 

Student Co-Managers - College Union Building Information Desk

Samantha O'Leary, Class of 2009

Samantha is a member of the class of 2009.  For the 2008-2009 academic year she will be working in the OSA as one of the new Co-Managers of the College Union Building Information Desk. She is an English and Philosophy double-major and hope to be going on the law school in the future.  This summer she is interning as a contributing writer for the Gettysburg Times.  Most of all, she is really looking forward to my senior year!

Katie Eissler  Class of 2010

Katie is a junior from Langhorne, Pennsylvania with a major in French and a minor in Education.  On campus, Katie participates in many activities including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Colleges Against Cancer, the French Club and intramural sports.  She also serves as a Co-Manager at the CUB Desk, so make sure to stop by or call with any questions about Gettysburg; remember, x6000 is the only number you need to know!  Although she will be studying abroad in the fall, Katie looks forward to meeting the class of 2012 in the spring and showing them all that Gettysburg has to offer!

Sarah is a Junior working towards her BA in History and Environmental Studies. She will be working as the interim Co-Manager with Sam O'Leary this Fall.  She is excited to work with the entire CUB Desk Staff to ensure that operations of the College Union Building run smoothly from the early morning opening to the nightly closing of the CUB, as well as the lunch time rush of phone directory calls, faxes, flower and newspaper delivery services, and the always visited lost and found.  In addition to the CUB Desk, Sarah keeps busy as a member of a co-ed service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, the student-run garden, Dance Ensemble, and Colleges Against Cancer. She cannot wait for another great year at Gettysburg!

President, Campus Activities Board

Toni is a senior French and Political Science double major from Northern Virginia. She joined Campus Activities Board as a first-year and is now President. She is also on the Spectrum yearbook staff. Last year Toni studied in Avignon, France and loves incorporating all things French into her daily life. Her hobbies include cooking, interior design, shopping, and spending time at the beach. After Gettysburg, Toni plans on attending graduate school and then starting a career in International Tourism & Event Management

Garrett is a senior. His major is Management with a possible minor in classics. He has been involved with the Gettysburg College Ice Hockey team and the fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta. He will be a second year orientation leader and this will be his second year working in the Office of Student Activities

Beth is a junior who is a History and Independent Study double major.  She is the Vice President of Finance for the Campus Activities Board, Vice President of the Class of 2010, President of the College Republicans, and a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority.  She also works for Residence Life as a Community Leader.  In her hometown, Ridley Park, she works at her State Representative's office as a legislative assistant and also works on a local political campaign

Amanda is a senior history and film major with a minor in French. On campus she is involved in the Campus Activities Board, the Spectrum Yearbook, and Residence Life where she is an RC for Rice Hall. When not doing schoolwork or something club-related, she can be found at the gym, servo, cooking, or outside reading and enjoying the beautiful Gettysburg weater. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career that combines her love of history and the medias and work for the History Channel or National Geographic

Alex is a Junior Sociology major hailing from Joppatowne, MD.  On campus, he is involved with Campus Activities Board where he serves as one of the Traditions Chairs, which oversees Crabfest, Snowball, and Springfest.  On most weekends, you can find Alex setting up, working, or cleaning up one of the many awesome CAB events and after working in The Attic as a TIPS Server for two years, Alex is taking on the role of a TIPS Program Trainer for the Office of College Life.  Alex is also involved in Student Senate and serves as the Resident Assistant for Stevens Hall and Lahm Hall on Carlisle Street.  Although graduation is still far off in the distant future for Alex, he plans to work towards a career in Insitutional Advancement and Development or Student Affairs in Higher Education.
