Victor is originally from Long Island, New York, but has been living in rural Pennsylvania for the past 20 years. He graduated from Bucknell University (PA) with a BA in Biology and Spanish and continued at Bucknell for his MSED in Counseling. Victor worked as a high school guidance counselor before transitioning to higher education. Prior to coming to Gettysburg College, Victor worked at Bucknell University in Residence Life. He earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education (Area of Concentration: Anthropology) from The Pennsylvania State University. His dissertation is an ethnographic study of how faculty and student affairs staff perceive their own and each other's roles as educators on campus and how these perceptions influence the potential for developing a learning-centered campus. Victor is bilingual (Spanish & English). He lives in Gettysburg with his wife, Julie, their eight year old son, Matias Carlos, and their three year old daughter, Ekaterina Elena.
