When it comes to decorating your room, you may be as creative as you like. Posters, plants, and throw rugs are a few typical items. Please take care not to damage walls or floors with prohibited items like double-sided tape, tacks, and nails.
Equipment furnished in each residence hall room
The following items are furnished in each residence hall room:
- desks and chairs
- closets
- window shades
- dressers
- beds with mattresses (mattress size: 39" x 80" x 6 1/2")
- bookshelf
- cable television cord. The College provides all rooms with a cable TV cord for use with your personal television. Students are requested not to use their own cords from home due to technical difficulties associated with standard commercial grade cables available in stores. (Questions? Call 717-337-6918.)
- MicroFridge, a combination microwave/refrigerator/freezer is placed in all first-year rooms. Because of its energy efficiency, this is the only microwave approved for use in the residence halls. (Questions? Call 717-337-6390).

Necessities students should bring
Students should plan to bring the following necessities:
- pillow, sheets, blankets, mattress pad
- towels
- alarm clock
- desk lamp(s), light bulbs (NOTE: halogen lamps are prohibited)
- UL listed surge-protected power strip
- laundry basket or bag
- small waste basket
- broom or dry mop and dust pan
