Housing Applications

All Theme House applications, including R.I.S.E., Honors, and Writing, are now web-based.  Learn more about this centralized process.

Eagles Housing is designated as a single semester housing option for those students who are studying abroad for the Spring 2014 semester, graduating in December or student teachers who only need housing for the fall semester.  Students who live in Eagles agree to vacate the space at the end of the Fall 2013 Semester.  Eagles Housing Applications are due to the Office of Residence Life by Friday, March 8, 2013.

Housing Forms

PROXY FORMS:  A "Proxy" is a person who you designate to select your housing, in your absence, on your behalf. There are three occasions where a proxy is used:

  1. If students are currently studying off-campus and cannot participate in an on-campus process or select housing online, they must identify a proxy. Students were asked to complete the "Housing Proxy Form for Students Studying Off-Campus" before they left campus in the fall. If a student did not complete the proxy form then he/she should email Sharon Fissel (sfissel@gettysburg.edu) to identify his/her proxy and adhere to all posted deadlines.

  2. The block booking housing selection process is NOT an online process.  If students plan to block book rooms but cannot physically attend room selection on April 14, 2013, they must designate a proxy to attend on their behalf.  They do so by completing a Block Booking Proxy Form, which their proxy must bring with him/her when selecting housing on April 14, 2013.

  3. During online housing selection, if the person in a group with the lowest lottery number cannot select housing for their group at their assigned time, he/she must designate a proxy to select housing for the group.  He/she can do so by completing an Online Housing Selection Proxy Form.  Once this form is submitted (be sure to follow set deadlines), the lottery time will be "transferred" to the proxy so he/she can select housing for their group.

ROOM SWITCH AGREEMENT FORM is a contract made between two students: the fall resident agrees to live in a space for the fall semester and MUST vacate that space for the spring semester so that the spring semester resident can move into that same space. Room switch agreements should be turned in as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, November 8, 2013, for the spring 2014 semester.
