Housing Selection Forms

For your convenience, forms related to housing selection are available for you to print, complete and submit to our office.  Please click on the appropriate link below:

Room Switch Agreement  - A Room Switch Agreement is an agreement made between two students.  If you are applying for abroad/off-campus programs for the Fall Semester, you may wish to arrange in advance to have someone take your place in the room for the fall term who will then agree to vacate the space you return in the spring.  Some key things to remember when signing a Room Switch Agreement: 

• If you sign an agreement to live in a space for the Fall Semester you MUST vacate the space for the Spring Semester.  NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
• If the fall resident changes rooms during the Fall Semester, your Room Switch Agreement becomes VOID.
• If the fall residents leaves the College during the Fall Semester the Room Switch Agreement becomes VOID.
• SPECIAL NOTE FOR CURRENT JUNIORS REGARDING ROOM SWITCH AGREEMENTS:  Current students who study abroad during the fall semester of their senior year may enter a room switch agreement with a non-senior student without dropping their group into the Junior-Sophomore category.  This is because students are not permitted to study abroad during the spring semester of their senior year and are not able to find room switch partners in their own class year.  This is the only exception to our class year policy.

Online Housing Selection Proxy Form - Only the student with the lowest lottery and earliest lottery time will need to select housing for his/her group via the Online Housing Selection system. Online Housing Selection Proxy Forms are used when a student cannot select housing for his/her group at the appointed time (due to class schedule, for example).  Once a completed proxy form is submitted, the lottery time will be "transferred" to the proxy so that he/she can select housing for the group.  After this switch is made, the student with the lowest lottery will no longer be responsible for carrying the group through the Online Housing Selection process.  So that the appropriate changes can be made in our system in a timely manner, please adhere to the following deadlines for submitting completed Online Housing Selection Proxy Forms to the Office of Residence Life:

• Current Junior students:  5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2008
• Current Sophomore students:  5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2008
• Current First-Year students:  5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2008

ROOMMATE SEARCH SHEETS: With the exception of quarry suites, all rooms and apartments must be filled to capacity when going through the Online Housing Selection Process.  Sometimes students are seeking an apartment or other particular room and need an additional person or two to complete the group.  Students may complete one of the forms below depending on their particular situation.  These forms should be completed PRIOR to housing selection and returned promptly to the Office of Residence Life (CUB 250).  Residence Life does not use these forms to manually "match" roommates; the forms are simply a tool for students looking for roommate(s). Therefore, we encourage students to frequently check the completed "roommate search sheets."  We also suggest that students post their search to the student email digests.  Students who cannot find housing or a roommate will be housed as space becomes available at the end of the entire housing selection process.

Group Roommate Search Sheet (use this form if you are a group looking for one or two people to fill an apartment during the online housing selection process.)

Individual Roommate Search Sheet (use this form if you are an individual looking for a roommate(s).  This form will also be used as a housing preference form should you not be able to obtain housing during the online housing selection process.)
