Lottery Numbers

Lottery numbers are used to select student housing. Continuing our commitment to academic excellence, the Office of Residence Life utilizes student grade point averages as a factor in processing lottery numbers. Please note the following:

• Lottery numbers are assigned by expected graduation term and based on cumulative GPA's through the Fall 2007 Semester.
  
• It is important that you verify your expected graduation date. If you anticipate changing your graduation date, you must contact Academic Advising to petition and complete the approval process by Friday, March 14, 2008.
  
• There is no differentiation between first and second semester standing in regard to class year designations. Please see the table below:

• Lottery numbers are broken down into cumulative Grade Point Average groupings. The sections are as follows (with lottery numbers scrambled within each delineation):  
  
  {4.0(+) to 3.67}
  {3.66 to 3.30}
  {3.29 to 3.00}
  {2.99 to 2.67}
  {2.66 to 2.33}
  {2.32 and below}

• Students who were abroad/studying off campus for the Fall 2007 Semester may not have had their grades transferred to the College yet. Therefore, their Spring 2007 cumulative GPA will be used.
  
• Adjustments to GPAs after Friday, March 14, 2008, will not change lottery numbers or selection times assigned.
