Residence Life is taking your nominations!  We are looking for students who are responsible, motivated, organized, and willing to develop strong communities within our residence halls and houses.  We are looking for role models.  As Residence Life staff members, students are expected to develop relationships with their peers, enforce college policies, assist students with concerns, facilitate community building activities, and serve as educators helping their peers develop through the residential experience. 

Each year the Office of Residence Life asks the campus community to nominate students to be considered for the following positions:

• Resident Assistant (RA): The Resident Assistant position works with our first-year student population.
• Community Advisor (CA):  The Community Advisor position is a position created in conjunction with Academic Advising and the Center for Career Development, and it is designed to provide sophomore students with a better understanding of the Liberal Arts and how the curriculum complements their broader educational goals.
• Community Leader (CL): the Community Leader position works with our upperclass students. 

If you are nominating students that you believe would be best suited for a specific population, please note that in your nomination. 

Students do not need to be nominated in order to be considered for the positions but it assists us in reaching out to potentially strong candidates.  If you know of someone who would be an asset to our program, please send an email with nominees to Danielle Phillips at dphillip@gettysburg.edu.  Nominations are due by Friday, November 18, 2011.  Please feel free to contact Danielle at x6901 if you have any questions.
