Housing Details
Patrick Hall
All first-year students live in one of six first-year residence halls. Placement for first-year students is based on course selection and registration as a part of the First-Year Residential College Program. Residence hall living, a vital component of the Gettysburg Experience, is intended to facilitate the personal growth and development of each student.
Patrick Hall is a traditional residence hall that houses approximately 130 first-year students and 20 upperclass students and consists of four floors and 84 rooms. Each room in Patrick Hall has tiled floors and typically houses two students, with male and female bathrooms on each floor.
Each room in Patrick Hall has at least one window with blinds, a bookshelf, and mirror. Each student is provided with an extra-long (38 inches x 80 inches x 6 1/2 inches) bed; a desk and chair; a dresser and closet space. Students may contact Facilities Services at 717-337-6700 to request the additional pieces necessary to bunk or loft their bed. There is a limited supply of the pieces necessary for lofting beds; therefore, students are provided the pieces on a first-come, first-served basis. There is approximately 15 inches between the floor and the bottom of the bed. To gain additional storage space below the bed, students may use bed risers, which are available for purchase at the College Bookstore.
