Transfer and Readmitted Students

Transfer Students
Students who are transferring to Gettysburg College for the Fall Semester will receive New Student Orientation information, including details regarding housing, from the Office of Student Activities and First-Year Programs in the first week of June. Transfer students should complete all housing information by the deadline, and contact the Office of Residence Life with any questions regarding housing.

Students who are transferring to Gettysburg College for the Spring Semester will be assigned housing by the Office of Residence Life. If you have a housing preference, please contact the Office of Residence Life at (717) 337-6901 and we will do our best to honor your request.

Readmitted Students
Students who are not currently enrolled at Gettysburg College may be eligible to participate in the housing selection process as follows:

Readmitted students and students returning from a leave of absence for the Fall 2009 Semester may participate in the housing selection process as long as the College has received their reserve/security deposit by Friday, March 6, 2009. Also, students must send written notification to the Office of Residence Life regarding their intent to return for the Fall 2009 Semester.

Readmitted students will particpate in the Housing Selection process using their roommate's or group's lottery number.

After the above-mentioned criteria are met, students returning from a leave of absence for the Fall 2009 Semester will have a lottery number activated for them.

Readmitted students and students returning from a leave of absence for the Spring Semester will be assigned housing by the Office of Residence Life if they do not participate in the housing selection process in April.  Those students who have a housing preference should contact the Office of Residence Life at (717) 337-6901 and we will do our best to honor their request.
