Retreat Required Assignments

Once you are accepted into the program, you will gain access to the Women's Leadership Program folder on Moodle. Before the Retreat, students need to complete the following assignments to be prepared for full engagement with Retreat materials and activities. Assignment details and readings can be found on the WLP's Moodle page under "Women's Leadership Program Retreat- February 1."

  1. Strengths Test and Values—an online activity where students will gain a clearer sense of their leadership strengths and styles. A password will be sent to Registered students well before the Retreat.
  2. Women Leaders Presentation—each student will have a few minutes at the Retreat to share with the group brief research they have conducted on a woman leader. View the women leader choices. After making your choice, please submit your leader under the "Women Leaders- Spring 2014 Retreat" folder at the top of the WLP's Moodle page. Please make sure that no one else has already selected the person you have chosen, as selections are on a first come- first serve basis.
  3. Read the first chapter of Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg and the chapter on Lily Yeh from Moonrise, which can be downloaded as PDFs on Moodle. Be certain to take notes so you can meaningfully discuss the chapters at the Retreat.
