Women's Center-Advisory Board and Volunteers

Directors

The Women's Center is unique in its set-up: exclusively student run. Selected student Program Coordinators manage all operations and program initiatives of the Women's Center and work closely with the Advisors on related issues. The Program Coordinators work closely with the Council of Presidents, serve on the Sexual Assault Prevention Committee and Women's Studies Program Advisory Committee, and coordinate the annual Women's Conference and Vagina Monologues. The Program Coordinators are happy to answer questions students have about the position.

Associates Board

The Associates Board assists the Program Coordinators in decision making, planning, and programming. The Board meets on a regular basis and has helped to make major programs, like the "Vagina Monologues" and the Annual Women's Conference, irreplaceable Gettysburg traditions. The Board is a diverse group of campus leaders whose work with the Program Coordinators is integral to the success of the Women's Center. The Associates Board receives regular updates from Safety and Security to ensure that correct information regarding safety is spread around campus.

Volunteers

The Women's Center encourages students to volunteer for special projects such as the Annual Women's Conference, the campus production of Eve Ensler's "Vagina Monologues," and "Take Back the Night" program in the Spring (just to name a few!). Whether you are keen to sign up people for student yoga, read a monologue on stage, or serve on a planning committee, there is a place for everyone who wants to help!

Work-Study Employees

Work Study Workers manage the Women's Center office and are an integral part to the Women Center program. The Women's Center employs up to six work-study workers a semester, so please contact us if you are looking for a position!
