Gettysburg welcomes students from around the United States and the world to be valued and active members of our campus community. Currently, students from 40 states 35 countries contribute to the rich academic environment of the College. As an institution we value diversity and strongly believe that our graduates are well rounded, global citizens, ready to do great work.
If Gettysburg is your first choice, you are strongly encouraged to apply for Early Decision (ED) admission. Gettysburg offers two Early Decision rounds; the Round I application deadline is November 15 and the Round II deadline is January 15. ED Admissions Decisions are mailed within one month of the deadline date.
Regular Decision applications are due by February 15. At Gettysburg, your academic credentials will be evaluated carefully during the application review process. In conjunction with your academic record, the admissions staff is also very interested in learning about your activities, hobbies, and passions, and in exploring how those interests will contribute to the ongoing life of this dynamic college community.
Gettysburg College typically receives about 5,000 applications each year and mails admissions decisions by early April.
