Student Learning Goals & Outcomes Assessed during 2006-2007

Co-curricular learning goal: The intended program outcomes are derived from the following co-curricular learning goal: Ethical Decision-Making.

Intended program outcomes: Through studying the concept of Flow as described by Csikszentmihalyi and the Conscious Competent learning model, GRAB (Gettysburg Recreational Adventure Board) student facilitators are expected to be able to do the following upon the completion of the 2006-2007 training program:

  • Understand the Flow and how the theory guides their ethical decision making processes
  • Develop a conscious balance between challenge and skill
  • Become self aware within this paradigm
  • Evaluate their ethics
  • Understand how their ethics define their decisions
