From 1989-1992, he was an Anna Fuller Fund postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Ronald Morris at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He returned to his alma mater in 1992 and helped to establish Gettysburg College's biochemistry and molecular biology program.
