Tim Shannon received his doctorate in history from Northwestern University and has been teaching at Gettysburg College since 1996. His research focuses on European-Indian relations in early America, and he is the author of Indians and Colonists at the Crossroads of Empire: The Albany Congress of 1754. He has appeared on the History Channel as a guest commentator on the films The Patriot and Dances with Wolves.
