Meeting Facilities and Technology
Gettysburg College is actively involved in a cooperative effort with Academic departments and Facilities Services to equip faculty, students, and guests with state-of-the-art technology in our classrooms. Our classrooms are enhanced to fit a standardized model which balances flexible, yet intuitive multimedia systems. Rooms are commonly outfitted with high speed internet access, a variety of multimedia devices, and cable and satellite TV video signals.
The College has over 60 meeting facilities that range in capacities from 10-300 with both fixed and flexible seating. The ballroom can seat 1,000 in chairs comfortably. The knowledgeable and friendly staff is happy to work with you to provide your conference with the best fit of available meeting facilities based on your particular needs.
The College has over 20,000 square feet of multi-purpose flexible exhibit space available for your use as well.
Some groups find it convenient to setup an office on campus during their event. Please let us know if this is something that you are interested in and we can help provide you with an appropriate location as well as services such as printing, telecommunications, copy machines, and signage. Conference groups have access to a copier/fax machine located at the College Union Building (CUB) information desk. A fee of $0.10/ copy and $0.50/fax will be assessed to the conference bill. Please notify Conference and Event Services if there are specific people that may utilize this service. If you use a fax machine often, a private line can be installed for a fee. The conference group must supply its own equipment.
If your conference is not lodging on campus, facilities fees will apply based on your requests.
An itinerary is required to determine the classroom space that you need. We will help you to find spaces that accommodate your group's needs for size, flexibility, and technology. An itinerary is a listing or schedule of events that occur during your conference. We encourage you to create one as early in the planning process as possible. This is usually a work that is continually changing up until your welcome or orientation session for your participants. It includes a daily schedule including meetings, meals, and social events. The schedule should also include a list of your technology needs for each event as follows:
Make specific requests for the use of rooms with audio-visual equipment.
Please select from the following list:
Computer and projector
VHS and projector
DVD and projector
* Please specify any events that will require microphones for speakers including details on how many will be required for the event.
* Please specify any requests that will require audio-visual support for events out of doors.
Note: equipment and support for these events is limited and we need you to plan ahead for this.
