Virus Protection
In an academic environment such as our college, the computer virus threat is real but generally is not the end-of-the-world problem sometimes outlined in the pages of the media. Some viruses cause no real damage, but a significant number are specifically designed to cause data loss and wreak havoc. Gettysburg College offers appropriate anti-virus tools designed to provide reasonable protection of laptops PCs, desktop PCs and servers. Information Technology takes virus issues very seriously, and users share a joint responsibility with us to control virus problems on our campus.
