Basic Telephone Information
Gettysburg College has chosen AT&T long distance services. You have a right to reach other long distance carriers when placing collect or credit card calls by dialing 9 + the access code provided by that carrier. Gettysburg College does not charge surcharges for placing local, 800, long distance, or calls carried by carriers other than AT&T Long Distance Services. All long distance charges will require the use of a calling card or collect call to a number accepting responsibility for the charge.
Students may not accept collect or charge 3rd party calls to their room extension. 900 numbers may not be dialed from any campus phones. These functions are blocked through our phone carriers.
