A Day in the Life of Larry Hower, Computer Systems Coordinator
As with many folk in IT, Larry wears more than one hat at work. He begins work at 7:30 AM when he works with the Help Desk Coordinator to resolve computer and network problems in classrooms and labs before the day’s classes begin. Once classes are underway, Larry turns his focus to his work as Computer Systems Coordinator. Simply put, Larry’s job is to make sure that all Gettysburg College-owned computers can communicate with each other.

Experiment and Verify - Using Powerful Software in Chemistry
As technology becomes more powerful and faster, software improves and more accurately approximates reality. The improvement in software has led it to be adopted both in industry and in graduate programs and it important that Gettysburg College students become familiar with this new tool set.
Recognizing the need to bring these tools to the Chemistry Department, Michael Wedlock, Associate Professor of Chemistry, and Donald Jameson, Professor and Chairperson of the Chemistry Department met with Eric Remy, Director of Instructional Technology and Training, himself a Ph.D. in Chemistry who specialized in Wedlock’s area of Physical Chemistry.

Presenting a More Complete Picture
Students at Gettysburg College enjoy a rich co-curricular experience.
