Staff

Sherry Yingling has been the Director of Gettysburg's Growing Place since 1999.  She has a BS in elementary/early childhood education and has 23 years of experience in the field.

Amy Cosden is the Assistant Director and works in the preschool room.  She has been at the Center since 2003.  She has an associate's degree in early childhood education and 7 years of experience in the field.

Debbie Bentz cares for children in the young toddler room and has been at the Center since 2000.  She has 13 years of experience in the field.  She is currently obtaining her associate's degree in early childhood education.

Stacy Boyer cares for children in all the rooms and has been at the Center since October 2007.  She has 13 years of experience in the field.

Katie Buyny cares for children in the afterschool program and works as a counselor at summer camp.  She has been at the Center since June 2005.  She is obtaining her bachelors degree in elementary education.

Phyllis Carbaugh cares for children in the afterschool program and works as a counselor at summer camp.  She has been at the Center since 1999 and has 20 years experience in the field.

Diane Cavanaugh cares for children in the infant room and has been at the Center since September 2007.  She has 13 years experience in the field.

Ann Conroy cares for children in the young toddler room and has been at the Center since September 2007.  She has a BA in psychology and has 1 year of experience in the field.

Keri Cunningham cares for children in the toddler room and has worked at the Center since 2001.  She has 8 years of experience in the field.  She also has completed 600 training hours in DPW-approved childcare classes.  She is currently obtaining her associate's degree in early childhood education.

Ashley Drechsler cares for children in the toddler room and has worked at the Center since 2001.  She has 8 years of experience in the field.  She also has completed 600 training hours in DPW-approved childcare classes.  She is currently obtaining her associate's degree in early childhood education.

Toni Eller cares for children in the preschool room and has been at the Center since June 2007.  She is obtaining her Child Development Associate credential.

Amanda Forbes care for children in the infant and young toddler rooms and has been at the Center since September 2007.  She is attending college for Human Services and has 2 years of experience in the field.

Linda Haberkorn cares for children in the preschool room.  She has been at the Center since September 2007 and has 13 years of experience in the field.  She has a BA in psychology/elementary education, special education certification, and is a Montessori Certified Teacher.

Diane Hayden cares for children in the infant room and has been at the Center since October 2007.  She has an associate's degree in elementary education and was a nanny for 4 years.

Julie Henry cares for children in all the rooms and has been at the Center since 2000.  She has a BS in sociology and 10 years of experience in the field.  She also has completed 600 training hours in DPW-approved childcare classes.

Donna Imes cares for children in the infant room and has been at the Center since October 2007.  She was a foster parent for over 8 years and has 1 year of experience in the field.

Kylee King cares for children in the toddler room and has been at the Center since May 2007.  She has an associate's degree in early childhood education and has 3 years of experience in the field.

Meagan Miller cares for children in the preschool room and has been at the Center since September 2007.  She has an associate's degree in humanities/language arts education.

Mandi Riley cares for children in the preschool room.  She has been at the Center since 2005.  She also has completed 600 training hours in DPW-approved childcare classes.  She is currently obtaining her Child Development Associate credential.

Shirley Sidenstricker cares for children in the preschool room and has been at the Center since 1998.  She has 15 years of experience in the field.

Amy Snyder cares for children in the preschool room.  She worked at the Center several years ago and returned in July 2007.  She has an associate's degree in early childhood education and has 9 years of experience in the field.

Kathy Strasbaugh cares for children in the infant room and has been at the Center since September 2007.  She has a BA in psychology and has several years of experience working with children.

Janel Zumbrum cares for children in the toddler room and has been at the Center since October 2007.  She has an associate's degree in early childhood education and has 5 years of experience in the field.
