Sherry Yingling has been the Director of Gettysburg's Growing Place since 1999.  She has a BS in elementary/early childhood education and has 27 years of experience in the field.

Amy Mitchell is the Assistant Director and works with children in all rooms.  She has been at the Center since 2003.  She has an associate degree in early childhood education and 11 years of experience in the field.

Christine Baust works with all the children.  She began working at the Center in November 2013.  Christine is attending the Gettysburg Area School District Tech Program and is enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program.   She has several years experience working with young children.

Sean Beirne cares for children in the afterschool room. He has also been our summer camp counselor for two summers. Sean began working at the Center in June 2013. He is a student at Gettysburg College.

Stacy Boyer cares for children in the preschool room and has been at the Center since October 2007.  She has 17 years of experience in the field and has a CDA (Child Development Associate credential).

Kristina Brockman cares for children in the preschool room. She began working at the Center in August 2014. Before this she worked as an older toddler teacher in various centers, including a Hildebrandt Learning Center in Harrisburg. Kristina has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Towson University.

Nicole Corbin works with all the children in the Center and has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Shippensburg University.  She began working at the Center in May 2013.  This is her first time working in this field, but she did complete her Practicum with us in Preschool C.

Keri Cunningham cares for children in the toddler room and has worked at the Center since 2001.  She has 12 years of experience in the field.  She also has completed 600 training hours in DPW-approved childcare classes and has an associate degree in early childhood education.

Ashley Drechsler cares for children in the toddler room and has worked at the Center since 2001.  She has 13 years of experience in the field.  She also has completed 600 training hours in DPW-approved childcare classes and has an associate degree in early childhood education.

Ivy Everson cares for children in the preschool room and has been working at the Center since November 2009. She has her CDA and is working on obtaining her associates degree in early childhood education. She has many years of experience in the field.

Amy Gilotty cares for children in the young toddler room and has worked at the Center since February 2010. She has her bachelors degree in early childhood education and her masters degree in elementary education. She has 3 years experience in the field.

Danielle Goldberg cares for children in the preschool room. She began working at the Center in August 2014. This is her first official teaching position in this field. Danielle has her bachelor’s degree in early childhood and elementary education from Shippensburg University.

Lindsay Groomes works with all the children in the center and began working at the center in October 2011.  She completed 600 training hours in DPW approved child care classes and is working on obtaining her bachelors degree in elementary education.

Diane Hayden cares for children in the infant room and has been at the Center since October 2007.  She has an associate degree in elementary education and was a nanny for 4 years.

Donna Imes cares for children in the infant room and has been at the Center since October 2007.  She was a foster parent for over 8 years, has 7 years of experience in the field, and has her CDA.

Teresa Landis cares for children in the toddler room and has worked at the Center since March 2011. She has a variety of experience in working with young children and is working on obtaining her associate degree in early childhood education.

Shannon McKain cares for children in the toddler room.  She has 15 years of experience in the field and has her CDA.  She is currently working on obtaining her associate degree in early childhood education.

Haley Miller cares for children in the infant room. She began working at the Center in June 2013. Haley is a graduate of the Gettysburg Area School District Tech Program – Early Childhood Education Program. She started with us by doing an internship as part of the Tech Program. She is currently attending Harrisburg Area Community College to obtain a degree in education.

Kaitlin Miller cares for children in the infant room.  She began working at the center in July 2013.  She is a graduate of the Gettysburg Area School District Tech Program Early Childhood Education Program.  She started with us by doing an internship as part of the Tech program. She is working on obtaining her CDA.

Courtney Porowski cares for the children in the young toddler room and has worked at the center since March 2010. She has her associate degree in early childhood education. She has 4 years of experience in the field.

Alice Ramirez works with all the children in the Center and has been at the Center since September 2009. She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and has 5 years of experience in the field.

Amy Snyder cares for children in the preschool room.  She worked at the Center several years ago and returned in July 2007.  She has an associate degree in early childhood education and has 14 years of experience in the field.

Rufi Syed works with the children at the Center and has been at the Center since January 2011. She has a BA and is working on obtaining an associate degree in early childhood education.

Allison Weeks cares for children in the infant room.  She began working at the Center in July 2013.  She has a BS in family science from the University of Maryland.  She has several years of experience working with infants and young toddlers.

Lydia Wiedeman cares for children in the afterschool room, as well as all the other children in the Center. She began working at the Center in August 2014. Lydia has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Grove City College. Before this she was a 4th and 5th grade teacher in Taiwan.
