Assistant Director of Research
A bachelor's degree is required. Two to three years of research experience, particularly in development or prospect research, or related experience in fundraising, university, or library/information sciences, or financial or legal research is preferred. Experience in researching on-line databases and print resources for biographical, news, and financial information and in using tools for analyzing donor capacity and inclination, as well as prior experience as a prospect researcher in a development office within a higher education environment is desired.
The successful candidate will research, analyze, interpret, organize, summarize, and clearly report on a high volume of biographical and financial data. Demonstrable skills in research, concise writing with attention to accuracy, details, and pertinence; the ability to work independently, prioritize workloads and meet deadlines; interpersonal communication with a variety of individuals; and maintenance of a high level of confidentiality are necessary.
