Pillars Appreciation Program
Gettysburg College's Pillars appreciation program is designed to provide the means to recognize and reward staff, administrators and faculty who make a contribution "above-and-beyond the call of duty" and demonstrate the spirit that makes Gettysburg College a great place to work!
The following list offers examples for which a Pillar may be given:
- Random Acts of Kindness
- Teamwork
- Flexibility
- Extra Effort
This program is not intended to replace day-to-day appreciation or the existing efforts of employees in every division. Its purpose is to provide a means which all employees are afforded an opportunity to receive a tribute for their contributions.
All Gettysburg College staff, administrators, and faculty are eligible to receive a Pillar. This includes part-time and casual employees.
To offer a Pillar to one of your colleagues here at Gettysburg College, we encourage you to use the on-line form by clicking here or complete the brochure form found in various locations across campus. The employee will receive a copy of the Pillar as well as his/her supervisor. A copy will also be placed in the employee's personnel file in the Human Resources Office.
