Academic Advising
Welcome to the Office of Academic Advising!
Academic Advising offers support in many areas of academic life. The deans work in conjunction with students' faculty advisors to help students make educational plans and solve academic problems. Our office:
- Supports all aspects of the faculty advising program
- Provides support for Gettysburg College Curriculum
- Supports Health Professions, Pre-law, and Pre-Business Advising
- Consults with college wide Concern Assessment Response Evaluation(CARE) group
- Consults with any students in need of academic assistance
- Collaborates with Residence Life and Career Development to oversee Sophomore Resources program
- Oversees the Peer Learning Associates program
- Provides support for the Honor Commission
- Supports the Academic Standing Committee
- Provides services for students with disabilities
- Oversees academic progress and deficiency reports
- Oversees the Incomplete Course process
- Supports the grade appeal policy
- Processes withdrawals, leaves of absence, and readmissions and reinstatements
- Prepares Deans' Lists and Course Commendations
