My Story from Global Study:

My experience in Brazil was incredibly meaningful to me. So much so that it inspired my first tattoo. My tattoo consists of a lighthouse in Salvador, called Farol da Barra, which was close to my program center and homestay, and came to become a meaningful place for me. My tattoo also has the word “saudade”, which is the Portuguese word for “to miss” and “to long for.” Part of my heart will always remain there in my second home!

My Advice for Future Students:

Don’t be afraid to try studying abroad in a country where you don’t know the language. You will learn a new language so quickly and, although it will push you outside of your comfort zone, it is well worth how much you will gain from the experience!
