Personal Comments:  As a result of my attendance at the Institute I have instituted an elective course on Civil War Studies at my high school and taken numerous groups to the battlefield to give tours.  My experiences at the institute have been, without a doubt, some of the highlights of my 35 years in education.  The friendliness and fine atmosphere I experienced there have made for the pleasantest of memories.  I can't say enough for CWI, its people and its program.

Personal Comments:  The Civil War Institute taught me to seek out a career that wasn't just about earning money.  I needed to find one that would enable me to serve the Republics those before me had.  Being an Army Officer makes me a link in a chain stretching back before the Declaration of Independence.  I feel I'm a living part of the history of America!!  And besides, I've made a heck of a lot of great friends!
